AI Use Policy

AIFinNav uses artificial intelligence to deliver financial planning and analysis tools. This policy provides full transparency on what AI models we use, what data is sent to them, our training-data policy, and your opt-out options.

1. AI Models Used

AIFinNav uses the following AI technologies to power its financial analysis tools:

We evaluate and update our AI model providers periodically. This page will be updated when provider changes occur.

2. What Data Is Sent to AI Models

When you run a financial analysis tool, the following data may be sent to AI model providers:

• Financial figures: Revenue, expenses, cash balances, AR/AP, budget line items — the numbers needed to perform the analysis you requested.
• Context metadata: Industry category, company size range, and time periods — to improve analysis relevance.
• Analysis prompts: Structured instructions that tell the AI what type of analysis to perform.

What is NOT sent:

• Your company name (unless included in uploaded documents)
• Your personal name or email address
• Your login credentials
• Raw uploaded files (data is extracted and structured before processing)

3. Training Data Policy

Your financial data is NOT used to train any AI models.

• No training on your data. Individual financial data submitted to AIFinNav is processed through AI models via API calls. These API calls use data processing agreements that explicitly prohibit the AI provider from using customer data for model training or improvement.
• No fine-tuning on customer data. We do not fine-tune or customize AI models using individual customer data.
• Anonymized benchmarks only. Aggregated, anonymized financial metrics (average margins, ratios, growth rates by industry and company size) contribute to our benchmark dataset. This benchmark data cannot be traced back to any individual company.
• Provider commitments. Our AI model providers (OpenAI) have contractual obligations not to use API-submitted data for training. We audit compliance with these commitments.

4. Data Processing Location

AI processing occurs on servers in the United States. Data transmitted to AI providers is encrypted in transit via TLS 1.3. AI providers process data in memory and do not store it beyond the duration of the API request (typically seconds).

5. Accuracy and Limitations

AI-generated financial outputs have inherent limitations:

• Estimates, not guarantees. All forecasts, projections, and analyses are estimates based on historical data and patterns. Actual results may differ materially.
• Data quality dependency. Output quality depends on the accuracy and completeness of input data. Incomplete or inaccurate data produces unreliable outputs.
• No causal understanding. AI models identify statistical patterns but do not understand the underlying business causes. Unusual circumstances, market shifts, or one-time events may not be properly accounted for.
• Not a substitute for professional advice. AI outputs should always be reviewed by a qualified financial professional before being used for material business decisions.

6. Opt-Out Options

You have the following options regarding AI processing of your data:

• Benchmark opt-out: You may opt out of contributing anonymized data to the benchmark dataset. Contact privacy@aifinnav.ai with the subject "Benchmark Opt-Out."
• Data deletion: You may request complete deletion of all your financial data and AI-generated outputs. Contact privacy@aifinnav.ai.
• Service limitation: If you opt out of AI processing entirely, you will not be able to use AIFinNav's analysis tools, as they require AI processing to function.

7. Human Oversight

AIFinNav's AI outputs are generated automatically without human review. We do not have human analysts reviewing your financial data or approving outputs before delivery. The responsibility for reviewing and validating AI outputs rests with you and your financial advisors.

8. Changes to This Policy

We will update this AI Use Policy when we change AI providers, modify data handling practices, or adjust our training data policies. Material changes will be communicated via email. The "Last Updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
